North lake Residents Association Inc.

In early 2000 an announcement by the Main Roads Department of WA to continue with the proposal to extend the Roe Highway (Stage 8) through the Beeliar Wetlands resulted in a public meeting of the North Lake Residents Association.

As a result, a community Action Committee was formed to address the issues raised by the reality of a highway traversing this unique and fragile wetland. We soon came to understand just how much the areas of North Lake, Bibra Lake, Horse Paddock Swamp and the associated local bushland were valued by the general community.  Visit  www.savenorthlake.com.au
