North lake Residents Association Inc.

The North Lake Residents Association was incorporated in 1999. Our mission is to promote a safe and secure lifestyle for our community based on mutual trust and respect for our personal privacy, our natural and built environments and our investments through the sharing of ideas and information in our community.

Current Projects we are involved in

Deletion of Roe Highway Stage 8
Deletion of Roe Highway Stage 8 from the Metropolitan Regional Planning Scheme. Please visit our information web site on Roe Hwy Stage 8 at www.savenorthlake.com.au to view what our association has achieved in informing the public on this issue.

Road Planning (Entrance Statements, Traffic Calming, Kerbing, Dual Use Paths, Signs etc)
Develop entrance statements at Farrington Road and North Lake Road, Farrington Road and Progress and Progress Drive and Hope Road and address traffic calming of Farrington Road, Progress Drive and Hope Road, including the standard of roads, kerbing, dual use paths, signs etc.

Establishment of Eco - Tourism including Funding and Promotion of the Cockburn Wetlands Education Centre Inc
Identify eco-tourism opportunities and promotional opportunities with the Cockburn Wetlands Education Centre as the focal point.

Social Interaction and Recreation Opportunities (Passive and Active) - Local Interest Groups
Establishment of arts/craft group, children's playgroups, the provision of a 'meeting' place (café at Bibra Lake), additional parking (shaded), barbecues and picnic facilities (lake and parks) including improved access to the lake through use of dual use paths and pedestrian crossings.

Street Landscaping and Parklands
Beautify the suburb through the use of appropriate streetscaping, removal of graffiti, improvements to parks, the elimination of  overhead power lines (small section of suburb) and opportunities for rezoning vacant land.
